  • Welcome to the Bijou Chic website terms and conditions for use. These apply to the use of the website at wwww.bijouchic.co.uk. When accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • By using this website it indicates that you accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to order from us. If you do not accept these terms, do not use this website.
  • You will be able to access most areas of this website without registering your details.
  • We may revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this posting. You should check this website from time to time to review the current terms.

Ordering From Us 

  • You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.

  • Our acceptance of an order takes place when we despatch the order. We will send you a despatch confirmation by email. When we despatch the order the purchase contract will be made even if your payment has been processed immediately,  unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order.

Pricing 

  • Our prices do not include VAT as we are not registered for VAT.

  • Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown elsewhere on this Website. 
  • Our prices are reviewed periodically and the next review will be on 01/05/2007.

Payment

  • Security is important to us, for this reason we use PayPal who are approved for this purpose by all the major UK High Street Banks. We believe that shopping online at Bijou Chic is just as safe as shopping in a high street store.

  • We use Internet standard encryption technology to scramble your sensitive data when you transmit it to us. This process is known as SSL (secure sockets layer) this technology provides you with the maximum practicable level of security available for online transactions. You can rest assured that we take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously.

  • PayPal specialise in online authorisation of debit and credit card transactions on the internet. In order to process your payment PayPal collects certain personal information from you, which it holds in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
  • If you prefer to send a cheque please make it payable to Bijou Chic Ltd. Your order will be sent as soon as your cheque clears. Depending on your bank this may take 5 to 7 working days.

Postage & Packaging

  • Bijouchic.co.uk is currently only available to UK customers. International customers should contact us directly at sales@bijouchic.co.uk to see if we can help with your requirements.
  • Postage and packing is automatically added at the ordering stage.
  • Orders under £50 will be charged at a flat rate of £2.80 for postage and packaging and all parcels will be sent via Recorded Signed For Delivery. Orders over £50 will be charged at a flat rate of £5.50.
  • Where more than one item is purchased and unless otherwise specified, we will endeavour to include this within the original postage and packaging charge, but we reserve the right to increase this charge if necessary and you will be advised of any increase.
  • We aim to deliver your order within 3 days or less, but please allow a maximum of 10 working days. If an item is delayed or temporarily out of stock you will be advised by email or telephone. If an item you have already paid for becomes unavailable you will receive a full refund.
  • We can not refund postage or courier charges already incurred when dispatching your purchase, if, through no fault of our own, or our couriers, we are unable to deliver your order. We cannot be held liable for any loss, including consequential loss, if an order does not arrive in time, but we will do our utmost to deliver within the delivery time specified.

Exchange / Refunds

  • We will be happy to make an exchange, providing the items are returned complete and in perfect condition in their original packaging within 10 days from the date of despatch. Any items returned should not have been used or worn.
  • In case of a refund / exchange, you must notify us within 3 days by of receiving your order and return the item(s) within 10 days from the date of despatch.
  • Let us know by emailing returns@bijouchic.co.ukwith the details of the product(s) you want to Exchange / Refund and Bijou Chic will issue a Refund Number.
  • Please post back the item(s) to Bijou Chic via recorded delivery in their original pakaging, stating the Invoice References, Refund Number and your name and address. 
  • Once we receive the goods, we will then refund your card or allow you to exchange the items for something else. Postage will be at your charge for the return of the previous item and the new one.
  • In case of a refund any credit card fees and original postage will be not refundable.
  • Under no circumstances, are we able to accept the return of earrings, hair  and children articles in compliance with current health & hygiene regulations. Rings ordered to specific sizes are also non-returnable.
  • Refunds after 10 days from the date of despatch are at the discretion of Bijou Chic Ltd.

Damaged Items

  •  Each item is carefully checked before we post to you but we advise you to check every item thoroughly on receipt for any defects.
  • In case of a defect, you must notify us within 3 days by of receiving your order and return the item(s) within 10 days from the date of despatch.
  • Let us know by  emailing returns@bijouchic.co.ukwith the details of the product(s) your are sending back and the reasons. Bijou Chic will then issue a Refund Number. 
  • No Exchange or Refund will be accepted after this time. 
  • Please post back the item(s) to Bijou Chic via recorded delivery in their original pakaging, stating the Invoice References, Refund Number and your name and address.
  • We are not responsible for any product lost or damaged in the post and for the cost of the postage.

 Privacy Policy

  • We might collect data about which products were purchased and the number of visitors to our site . This data is only analysed by ourselves. 
  • We totally understand and appreciate the need for privacy on the internet. We will not release information about you to third parties except where it is a necessary part of providing a service to you - e.g. Arranging for a product to be sent to you.
  • We only collect personal information about you (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We do not collect information deemed 'sensitive' under the Dta Protection Act 1998. Your address details (but not your Credit Card Details) are retained on a restricted access system within the UK and in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade information about you. We follow the Data Protection Act 1998 which includes strict security procedures to ensure that stored information is not accessible by unauthorized persons.  
  • A cookie is a file stored on your browser. Bijou Chic do not use cookies to identify users to the site.
  • We will only email you occasionally with special offers, news and product updates.

Service Access 

  • While we endeavour to ensure that this website is normally available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if  for any reason this website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
  • Access to this website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond our control.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  • We do not warrant that materials/items for sale on the Website are appropriate or available for use outside the United Kingdom. It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Miscellaneous 

  • You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions.

  • If any provision of these terms and conditions is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue to have full force and effect.
  • Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
